We made this lapbook titled “Every animal in its place”(Cada animal al seu lloc in catalan) to learn about where every animals live in, food chain and three different types of ecosystems (1. terrestres 2. aquàtics 3. aeris)

The Pyramid for Food Chain (Cadena Tròfica)

The order from top of the Pyramid is Tiger – Cat or fox – Insects and Plants. The left part of the lapbook is for terrestrial animals such as those of the Jungle (Selva), Savannah (Sabana), Forest (Bosc) and Desert (Deserts).

Set the tree on the lapbook

It was difficult to set the tree because we cut the part of branches a little thin. It was necessary to reinforce with a piece of cardboard when gluing and that it stays up.

A small tree above the big tree is for a stork. At first we had no plan to put this small tree but we remembered that there were always storks in the natural park called “Aiguamolls d’Empordà” in the north of Catalonia.

Aquatic animals

In the other half of the lapbook, it is for aquatic animals(lakes, rivers, seas, arctic and antarctica).

Animal Cards

Please make the animal cards with your kids. We made 20 animal cards.

Where do they live in?

As you see in the picture above, take your animal cards and put them in the corresponding places.
